More charges laid against the accused in HIV non-disclosure case

Decision for bail scheduled for 7 July

In a full-day June 29 bail hearing, the accused had eight new charges laid against him, four attempt murder and four administering noxious substance – the virus – for a total of 21 counts against him.

The charges included four-attempt murder, four aggravated sexual assault, three sexual assault, four administering noxious things and six on breach of conditions for breaking probation terms. Originally charged for each and every sexual act, the charges are now consolidated.

The accused’s lawyer, Delinda Hayton stated proposed possible bail conditions. No details can be reported under the publication ban.

He appeared in court today via video link where he was told the decision on the bail hearing is July 7.
