Jett Black says the Royal Winnipeg Ballet kicked him out for doing porn

Jeppe Hansen has danced for the Royal Danish Opera, The Ballet in Tivoli Gardens and at private parties for the queen of Denmark, but his dancing ambitions have been put on hold by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB).

Hansen was enrolled at the prestigious dance company in September 2012, until doing porn for the CockyBoys studio under the name Jett Black starting in April of this year, when he left the RWB reluctantly, under pressure from school officials.

“They told me they didn’t have any space for me because I did porn,” he told CBC News. “You cannot be in a company or with the school or whatever because you’ve decided to take a different standpoint artistically — not because you physically can’t do it or because you’re not good enough,” he said. “Being told because you’re doing something else that’s interrupting with what we think you can do is really difficult because they know it’s your passion, they know that that’s what you live off. They know my entire identity’s built on it. So it was really difficult to be told that and to be told, ‘You know what? There’s no space for you here.’”

Hansen claims that RWB school administrators asked him to sign a letter stating that he voluntarily withdrew from the program, despite the fact that he did not want to give up his dancing career, or porn, which he thinks is as legitimate an art as ballet.

The RWB would not comment on Hansen’s accusations for “privacy reasons.”

While he misses being a professional dancer, Hansen also seems liberated from the “restricted” life of a ballerina and unleashes a raw passion in his sex scenes that ballet doesn’t ignite.

Despite his growing porn following, he’s not relenting on his dancing dreams:

“My dancing career is not over,” he maintains. “I’m taking a break from performing, and I’ll take this break until I find a place where I can fit in as a ballet dancer.”
