Gay faves win big at Tony Awards

In case you haven’t heard already, the Tonys were last night and — actually, who am I kidding here? Of course you knew when the Tonys were. Let’s just jump-cut to the LGBT-related stuff. (Also spoilers, I guess? I’m not sure a live award show can be spoiled, but let’s not risk it.)

After the massive amount of publicity and accolades Neil Patrick Harris received for his performance in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, he capped off his Broadway tenure by winning the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. Lena Hall, who played Yitzhak, won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role.

Hedwig also won for Best Revival of a Musical, while A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder won for Best Musical.
