Fantino on side

Toronto’s police chief-designate is a fan of homo radio. Here’s the text of a letter he sent on the topic.

“Dear Sir….

“As a member of the law enforcement profession within the diverse community of the Greater Toronto Area, I consider the medium of radio to be an excellent avenue to inform, educate and provide support for the community as a whole.

“It is particularly important that radio programming promote understanding, acceptance and respect for all people in the context of a civilized society which very much should be inclusive of all law-abiding citizens, regardless of place of origin, religious and cultural beliefs or ‘Sexual Orientation.’

“I believe that the applicant is committed to these principles which I am pleased to support.

“Yours truly,

“Julian Fantino

“Chief of Police.”
