Dailyxtra.com guidelines for reader comments
Guidelines for reader comments
At Dailyxtra.com we do not condone or knowingly permit the posting of defamatory or libelous comments. Defamation and libel are the communication of falsehoods that tend to hurt a person’s reputation.
Submissions go directly online, without being seen by editors. So, it’s important that you follow the laws against defamation. Do that by keeping your comments focused on issues, and on your ideas and opinions. Do not get personal and do not defame others. If you see defamatory comments made in other people’s postings, report them to our moderator, who will investigate within two business days.
Your comment must directly relate to the subject of the article.
Avoid confusing statements; express your thoughts clearly and succinctly so readers will understand your opinion. Do not post superficial comments, such as a short phrase or just a few words.
Do not post promotions of products, services or events. If you see such postings, report them to our moderator, who will investigate within two business days.
Your comment and name may also be published in an Xtra paper.
Publication of your comments on dailyxtra.com or in an Xtra paper is not an endorsement of your views by dailyxtra.com or Pink Triangle Press.
